#verizon nationwide #outage still going strong with over 1.6M reports as of 5:00PM EDT. A quarter of our users reporting #SOS notifications on their phones. #TMobile and #ATT seeing elevated report numbers, but likely from people trying to reach out Verizon users. Data from #Downdetector indicates that this is likely an incident with a root cause within Verizon. Why do we say that? Get in touch with us to tell you more about the power of Downdetector #data.

AT&T's US nationwide service outage has been resolved, according to the company. The outage, which began early this morning, affected millions of customers across the United States. 📶😮 #ATTOutageKey Details:* Service has been restored to all impacted customers. ✅👥* The cause of the outage is still under investigation, but AT&T believes it was an internal issue ( SW update ) , not a cyberattack. 🔍🔧 #InternalIssue* The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is investigating the incident. 🕵️♀️🔍 #FCCInvestigation* Several local governments reported disruptions to emergency services during the outage. 🚨❌ #EmergencyServices* Verizon and T-Mobile reported minimal outages, but they were likely related to customers trying to reach AT&T users. 📞🔄 #Verizon #TMobileImplications for the Industry:This outage highlights the critical importance of network reliability in today's digital world. As we become increasingly dependent on wireless connectivity for business, communication, and emergency response, it's essential that carriers prioritize network resilience and invest in infrastructure to prevent future outages. 🌐💪 #NetworkReliability #DigitalWorld #infrastructureinvestment https://lnkd.in/dA6Qtn7T

Can you hear me now?Just last week, some Verizon users in the CSRA experienced "problems with data, voice and text service." AT&T is also no stranger to these types of issues - they suffered a much larger outage back in February of this year. If this is a new trend, here are some tools you can use:1. Wi-Fi CallingSometimes if you are in a place with weak or no network coverage, you can use the built-in Wi-Fi Calling feature on your smartphone. If you are a Verizon customer, a list of FAQ's is posted here: https://ow.ly/7Lr850SutTJ.2. Network Status CheckIf you experience an outage, check to see if your service provider has issued a status check. Verizon offered this link to check on their solution progress: https://ow.ly/IwNu50SutTK#NetworkOutage #WiFiCalling https://lnkd.in/gpstajFX

Have you heard? Verizon's network is now offering #SecondNumber, an option to add a second phone number to an existing phone with one number. This is a great option if you have multiple business phone lines, such as one that tracks calls from Google searches while another that tracks calls from a different source, but want to streamline how the calls come in. Second Number is also a good way to integrate an older landline number to a mobile phone, with freedom to answer calls wherever your team may be. See if this feature is right for you and contact us. 📲Cord Cutters News → https://lnkd.in/g-zrTNV6#VerizonPartnerSolutions #VerizonBusiness #Verizon #VZ

The FCC fined AT&T Wireless, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint nearly $200M for selling customers' geolocation data to third-parties without their consent. Apparently, the companies were aware of unauthorized use of consumer data and continued the practice for some time. From the article: '"The Commission slightly reduced its proposed penalties for Verizon and T-Mobile after reviewing additional evidence, according to the forfeiture orders for each company. The FCC also alleged that the carriers continued to operate their programs without establishing protections to ensure the third parties obtained consent from customers, even after being made aware of the unauthorized access to data. Carriers must keep customer data private unless they have obtained explicit consent from users, the FCC said."'#privacy #privacylaw #privacymatters #geolocationdata #fcc #peanuts

This morning, Verizon outage in the SF Bay Area left phones in SOS mode, hindering access to support sites sending PINs to inactive phones. The lack of alternatives impacted work logins due to phone-dependent multi-factor authentication. A reminder to design systems with end customers in mind, ensuring contingency plans to prevent standstills. The incident likely had broader implications for businesses and individuals. And by the way there is still no ETA provided or end in sight for this pain !#SystemsDesign #CustomerImpact #ContingencyPlanning
